Well, I've read it and I must say it's one of the most fascinating reads I've had for a long time, and certainly THE MOST fascinating one in linguistics. It's a bold move to put the origin of language back where it belongs, evolutionary theory, and more specifically the carving out of the specifically human ecological niche. Of course we've been carving a lot since then, but the book concentrates on the very origin of anything which might be called language, which requires a development of both meaning and reference. The mists of time won't allow a clear view of the issue, but this attempt is the best I've seen so far. Congratulations, and thanks for working out this theory.
