WHAT WAR IS FOR

            The war on drugs

            Gives more money to thugs.

            The war on cancer

            Still hasn’t found the answer.

            The war on crime

            Makes harmless citizens do time.

            The war on terror

            Was our country’s most expensive error.

            The war to end war

            In the end caused more.

            When will folk realize

            What’s right before their eyes?

            War is war.

            That’s all it’s for.

            War’s all right

            If all you want to do is fight.

            If you want to do more

            It’s a bore, it’s a blight.

            If you want what wars are supposed to be for

            Just say no to war.
